Countdown to Stitch

In honor of Stitch, the annual Austin craft bazaar, I wanted to feature some designers that will be participating in this years super fun craftiness.

Figs and Ginger is a husband and wife duo that make nature inspired jewelery.

Pretty clothes from House of Dang who also have a shop in Dallas under the same name that features all kinds of cool stuff.

I wouldn't mind getting these plates by Tokyo based artist Ogi. They even come in this cute box.

Monday

The Interpreters of Fashion

This quiz is kind of fun from Style.com.

Yesterday I finally picked up Dear Diary by Leslie Arfin. It is a short read (I'm almost finished) but highly recommended to any twenty-something girl who wants to look back at her life and think "Hey I wasn't the only fucking weirdo." There are some really funny "first time I did this" parts that run so parallel to yours it's like she wrote them down for you. This is the diary you always wish you would have kept up with, lucky for us Leslie Arfin kept hers.

Saturday

Beckerman Sisters

I want to be a Beckerman sister. I mean how cute are these three sisters who design a clothing and accessories line together? The Coney Island collection is just as cool as they are. Check out the entire line at Beckermans.com

Friday

Your Eyes Lie

Some tees and the sweetest necklace from online store Your Eyes Lie.

Combination Therapy

First of all, I love combination boutiques. It was once my dream (maybe it still is a little) to open a coffee cafe/record store (maybe cupcakes and records!). The thought of combining two great things in one shop has always sounded like a brilliant idea so when I heard of this this Austin boutique that combines Eco-friendly clothing and chocolate goodness I thought it was almost too good to be true. Go ahead and get your fix all in one stop at therapy.

Wednesday

New Lula New Lula

I just found the new issue of Lula. Love this magazine.

Tuesday

Real Native

New Mociun shirt (printed on natural hemp) and Vena Cava dress from one of my favorite shops, Bird, in Brooklyn.

Some fun prints I found over at Keep Calm Gallery.

Monday

The Kate Moss holiday collection for Top Shop.

Friday

if you live in austin

you should probably go to this. . .

off the subject

I was completely floored when I saw this illy (aka the best espresso in the world) cafe hidden inside a shipping container. The push button house opens in 90 seconds and is made of all recycled or recyclable materials. The cafe will be set up in the Time Warner Center in New York from November 28 to December 29. I'm almost ready to take the trip just to see the illy shipping container in person.

Read More about it at The Cool Hunter.

Wednesday

what i want now THIS OUTFIT

The dress and jacket are Top Shop (Damn you Top Shop! Open here!)and the shoes are Nine West. Actually, Nine West has a surprisingly good selection of shoes that are affordable and good quality.

Cute Fall jackets on sale over at Urban Outftters.

what are you going to be for halloween?

You can build your own costume over at American Apparel.

Monday

be green

Bring your own grocery/shopping bag, like one of these cuties from Fred Flare.

street style from NYLON

Saturday

Marc Jacobs + Wes Anderson

Wes Anderson called on Marc Jacobs to help design the suits and luggage for his new movie, The Darjeeling Limited. There is a good article about the hesitant trendsetter from The Los Angeles Times.

Friday

The Row

So I was really excited about the new line, The Row, from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen not because I'm particularly a fan of them, but because I read an interview a while back where they said they were designing the perfect pair of black skin tight jeans that would be perfect for a "petite" girl like myself. Well as it turns out they did and they cost like $400! I like the line a lot, but mostly it looks like an overpriced American Apparel.

Wednesday

turn the lights off

I am totally in love with these fluorescent undies from Deborah Marquit. I'm into the idea of wearing these with a kind of sheer black top and and a black pencil skirt from American Apparel.
